Rolling Eyes Hi, I'm Andre from Sleepy Hollow (Bloemfontein). I'm not a "plastics" guy, but have just started building one of a few kits that I've owned for a few years! I actually collect any scale aircooled VW, mostly diecast. I have a few 1:24 kits that I have bought over time, and would like to start building them. Looking at some of the other modellers stuff at places like SANNL, I can see that it takes years and patience to even get close to that standard.

Hi Andre and welcome to the site  Smile

The nice thing about us modellers is that we appreciate the effort it takes to make those bits of plastic look sort of like the real thing, so keep at it and im sure that youll be displaying on the site in no time.
There is, just btw, a small side copetition on at SANNL this year for VW aircooled.... (hint hint)

pig Thank you, Steve. Will have to get some tips from Peter T, Gerhard and Bruce Sapsford. Then maybe a VW for the beginners class!
